For Those Looking for Other Ways to Style Fine Hair

Okay so you're looking for more options when it comes to how to style your finer mane.  I get that.  Who isn't?  But before we get into some specifics first some general advice about how to go about it.

For most of us, hairstyles for thinnish, fine hair will often be those that are shorter, chin length or absolutely no longer than shoulder length. The reason for this length limit is simple.  It's best to keep things on the shorter side because shorter hair gives the illusion that things are thicker and fuller with your crowning glory than they really are. Plus letting your fine locks grow much beyond your shoulders will too often make your hair look weak and limp and at times lifeless.

Aside from this, to a certain extent short hairstyles for fine hair will take the focus away from your hair and divert it to your face.  This is good again if your locks are on the thinner side.

You can further emphasize your face by adding bangs to slightly cover your forehead and draw the focus to your eyes.

Or you can also go with a bit of a flip or add in a few curls for a sexy, playful look.

While pinning or tucking your hair behind the ears is another smart if easily overlooked thickening move.  Because doing so is another way to provide you a thicker, fuller look since this keeps your hair together.  Just makes sense, right?  Since this will make it appear like there is more of it.

Okay so getting down to specifics, hair styles like updos and braids are also great hairstyles for those with fine tresses because they will literally hide the fact that the hair is on the thin side. These conceal things very well and gives you a stunning and sophisticated look at the same time.

In fact French braiding gives added volume to the parts of your hair where it seems to be the thinnest. Applying this style to fine tresses can be done in such a way that focuses on the parts of your head where you need the volume most or just to balance out how your hair looks overall

Then for those who want to alter their long length hair style going with a bouffant style is the answer. Not only does it change your look but it creates extra volume while staying in place all day long. Usually.

Tip: Two words. Bobby pins.  Hair accessories like bobby pins can be lifesavers for those with fine hair. Often they will subtly do the trick for you when you need them most. Aside from giving you added volume, they can help you creates a sophisticated look that you need for those special occasions that come up from time to time.  With a way to keep it looking sophisticated and in place.

Finally girls with finer hair find they can make good use of the pony tail.  It can be a casual way to go on the weekends.  Yet can also be a somewhat elegant look that is both fresh and flattering.  Not only that this is a truly hassle free hairstyle.  Note that using a pony tail can also leave some parts of you're a bit hair wavy afterwards however. That is usually not a problem if you plan on washing it soon thereafter.  And certainly not a reason to not embrace this style.
