How to Control That Head Of Crazy Wild Girl Curls

Do your curls suffer from attention deficit disorder?  Meaning they don't pay any attention to what you want.  Ever!  They just go wild and crazy at will doing what they want always! And I won't even get you started on what happens on days when the humidity spikes.  Annoying isn't it?  Poffiness gets old real fast.

Okay so all attempts at control have failed.  I get that.  Chemical straightening and flat irons are no match for your curly locks.  Sooner or later your curls have to grow out and at best you're fighting them to a draw with your trusty Chi flat iron or its equivalent.   Understood.

But before you wave the white flag here are some tips for successfully living with curls.  But follow these ideas only if you dare.

For starters know that curl control starts with having a stylist who KNOWS how to cut curls.  Not every one does you know.

Then it's best not to shampoo daily. You're better off with like washing your hair every other day or going even longer between suds ups.  Because shampoo strips your curls of their natural oils.  Not good since curly hair tends to be dry hair by nature anyway.

Pitch the terry cloth and stock up on microfiber towels instead. Remembering to squeeze the water out of your locks rather than rubbing them.

Same goes for the blow dryer.  Air drying is best whenever possible.

Avoid playing with your hair in any way, shape, or form.  In fact avoid even touching it with your fingers.

Also avoid using a brush on your locks EVER!

Now we're talking.  Treat them right and you can have a head of luscious curls oozing with confidence! Curls that do not even offer a hint of having been excessively processed within an inch of their life.  In other words you can have the most amazing head of curls by following simple tips like these.  But only if you dare.
